Color luminous powder is a kind of luminescent pigment that can automatically emit light. It can be used in various plastic products, clothing printing, chemical fiber, and indicator signs. However, some customers reported that they bought the luminous powder and used it on plastic to find that the brightness of the luminous powder is not as good as expected, and even the case is not bright. Today, Xiaobian will analyze why the luminous powder is not high after injection molding.
First, the color luster of the luminous powder is not willing to be exposed to acid, water, and metal during use, which will cause the luminous powder to greatly reduce the brightness after the millet.
In order to avoid this, we should pay attention to the following when using luminous powder:
1. We should avoid using it in an acidic environment (the neutralization reaction occurs with Al2O3 and acid).
2. Avoid contact with water, try to keep it sealed; (will absorb the moisture in the air, make the luminous powder black and not illuminate and agglomerate).
3. Avoid contact with metal (which will affect the unsaturated state of the night light powder and affect the light).
4. Avoid high temperature and high speed friction (will change the existing structure of the luminous powder).
Second, in the injection molding process, the plastic material we use is not high in light transmission, which will also cause the luminous powder to not absorb light and not to emit light. Therefore, we should first weigh the luminous powder according to the ratio, add appropriate amount of paraffin oil (all of the diffused oils), adjust to a paste, and then pour into the weighed mixture and mix well to produce. The materials that can be injected are: PP, PE, PVC, PU, PS, ABS, TPR, EVA, PMMA, nylon, etc. The more transparent the plastic material is, the better the luminous effect.
