Pearlescent pigments are suitable for the processing of PE, PP, PS, PVC, PET, ABS and other plastics. The better the transparency of the plastic, the better the pearlescent effect produced.

Suitable processing methods include extrusion, injection, blow molding, and blistering.

The appearance of the pigment effect is closely related to the dispersion of the pigment in the plastic. The usual coloring methods include direct coloring and color masterbatch coloration, and usually the masterbatch is more advantageous for pigment dispersion. If direct coloring is used and good dispersion is maintained, prostagland pre-dispersed pigments can be used.

Prosperous pigments cannot withstand high-strength shear due to their special sheet-like structure, so try to use lower-strength shear mixing equipment and higher processing temperatures.

In the processing of pure white plastic, a reaction between free phenol and titanium dioxide in a plastic auxiliary agent such as an antioxidant is sometimes generated, resulting in severe yellowing. Remi anti-yellowing series of pigments can effectively solve this problem. It uses special surface treatment to prevent the photochemical activity of titanium dioxide on the surface of pigments.
